Reading:   Literature circle time! Students will meet once a week for three weeks. At each meeting, the reading must be complete as well as two questions from your literature circle packet, and a written question of your own. 

Student groups will meet on the following days:

Wednesday: A Boy at War

Thursday: Island of the Blue Dolphins

Friday: War Horse

Reading contract meetings will occur on the following days:  Wednesday, Jan. 16th; Monday, Feb. 11th; Friday March 1st. Please have your goal completed for each meeting. If you forget your goal, please see Miss Beyer.

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! Below is a comprehensive school supply list for the upcoming school year. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of your child’s teachers. It will be extremely helpful if your child has all their supplies for the first day of school.

 

  • Milk crate (6th grade homeroom only - check Staples and Wal-Mart for sales)
  • 5 jumbo sized book socks
  • Binder (zipper style preferred)
  • Binder tabs for organization of classes: Religion, Math, Science, English, Reading, Social Studies
  • 3 Wide-ruled filler paper
  • Soft pencil case with binder holes to hold in binder
    • Sharpened pencils
    • Black pens
    • Red pens
    • Highlighter
    • Dry erase markers
    • Ruler
    • Scissors
    • Small pack of colored pencils
    • Glue stick
    • Rosary
  • 3 two-pocket folders for binder
  • 5 college ruled marble copy book
  • Small scientific calculator (Ti=30xa)
